Welcome to the new blog, everybody. I’m really psyched about it, but let me do one thing first:

Okay, that feels better. That’s Anne and Nathan above and I think it’s the perfect first image to hang on the wall. But before I continue, I want to give thanks to the irrepressible Dennis Huynh for designing the site and the avuncular Jesse Scott for implementing it. Let me know in the comments if you think they did bang up jobs.
I can’t imagine a more captivating couple to feature in this blog’s first post. Anne and Nathan are extraordinary. When they called me out of the blue, we spoke for an hour. They were excited about photography and their rustic Walla Walla winery wedding, and I was charmed to hear their vision described in such vivid and allusionary terms. I had never been exposed to so many similes. At one point I stopped them to ask if they happened to have backgrounds in the humanities. Yep, graduate students in literature at Duke. I love these guys.
I’ve featured an alarming number of photos here because I’m overly excited about the new blog and Anne and Nathan’s wedding. It was exceptionally fun for me to photograph, and Anne and Nathan and their friends and families deserve all the credit. The ceremony took place at the delightful Couvillion Winery.

Check out the look on Anne’s face as her father gives a toast.

Then they got old school.

I mean really old school.

You’ve got a real eye Bry-Bry.
I’d sign you to do my wedding right now, but these shots have convinced me it’s worth waiting for grad school.
The photos look great Bryan! I love seeing the magic you caught and genuine emotions you can read on their faces.
Great!
Amazing job Bryan !!!
the pictures are very emotional, funny, beautiful, it really recreates the particular atmosphere of happiness and joy that we experienced at this wonderful wedding…
Bravo !!!
Great images! The new blog looks fantastic, too.
Bryan, great snaps from this wedding. #3 is wonderful – this is so much going on in the image, but you caught the emotion in each of the three guys. I also like the informal “formal” of the guys by the woodpile – great faces and expressions.
My favorite thing about the new blog is the watermark you’re adding to your images. It’s unique / identifiable. It is a little distracting on the diptychs to have it in the middle though. Overall, I might decrease the opacity of the white column just a bit.
The warm background compliments your editing style.
The images are huge!
It looks great!
Oh, and I really love the lighting you’re using on your receptions! Great job Bryan.
Thank you for all the comments, everyone. I love to hear them.
Ooooo…I love the new blog. Good job Dennis and Bryan.
Bryan – you’re really getting good at what you do. These photographs are some of my favorites.
What a great new and improve blog… sorry I didn’t get the memo.
