Priest Lake, Idaho. Wedding photos really can’t be good without good people. That’s a secret. This is the last wedding of the season with the Sandpoint crew that started with Mac and Kirsten (now with adorable baby), continued with Bonnie and Joe, and takes an intermission for the season here. I really hope other members of that group split into pairs and find opportunities to watch Sleepless in Seattle, take long walks around Lake Pond Oreille, and continue to take big steps in their relationships. I’d love to be there again next summer.

“Dear Darren These are some Things you need to know!! From Room 217.” That’s about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Check out the construction paper books—I think that might send the wrong message if Darren follows it to the letter.

Meagan’s an elementary school teacher and her class had plenty of time to compose some well-meaning tips for Darren, as he’s an Irish national and had his visa application denied several times before getting into the country to have a wedding. Originally scheduled for the fall, it happened in the late winter. In the mean time, however, Meagan was busy talking to Darren, immigration officials, state representatives, and vendors, trying to figure out how this whole thing would work. I can’t imagine a more composed bride in such frustrating circumstances.

The ceremony and reception were at Patsy Clark Mansion in Spokane. It was dark outside, warm and comfortable inside, and, I have to imagine—quite a relief for Meagan and Darren.
